Minnami no Sato

At Minnami no Sato, visitors have the opportunity to purchase locally sourced produce and handcrafted items, as well as engage in hands-on activities such as rice planting and harvesting. The name "Minnami no Sato" originates from a line in a poem by the esteemed native poet, Chikashi Koizumi, who was inspired by the scenic views of the Mineoka Mountains from his home in the Nagasa valley. Within the premises of Minnami no Sato, visitors can explore the Exchange Center, showcasing a variety of locally produced goods and traditional crafts for sale. Additionally, the Activity Center offers a range of experiences including rice planting, strawberry picking, pottery making, and various other engaging activities.

The limited express "Wakashio"

The Wakashio is a limited express train service in Japan operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East). It runs from Tokyo to Awa-Kamogawa. The Wakashio is painted in blue, white and yellow, representing a Boso Peninsula motif for the blue sea, white sand and yellow nanohana (rapeseed) flowers.
